Sand Lake in Kearney offers an ATV Poker Run in April every year offering you a great fun day with music, lunch, dinner and prizes.

Sand Lake is located 8 minutes to Kearney and only 30 minutes to Algonquin Provincial Park.  Almaguin Highlands has amazing trail conditions throughout the year.

Parry Sound also offers an ATV Spring ride that is also a lot of fun.  We have experienced both rides and they are both equally great.

 Steve was able to take Brandon out with the guys for a fun ride and he had a blast. 

Brandon has been involved in the swim club, hockey, piano, track team and other sports but going for a ride with Dad is a great way to just be with Dad and a great way for them to make long lasting memories.

Atving has grown so much over the past few years in the Almaguin Highlands.  The area now has around 300km of groomed trails and they keep expanding.  Offering all of these trails means they also have to be maintained yearly and the Algonquin West ATV Club is doing an amazing job and bringing more business to our local community.
Danette and Steve owners of Sand Lake Cottages & Inn Cottage Resort have noticed that over the past 3 years the ATV business has grown in the spring and fall bringing in new business at slower times of the year.  Atvers usually show up beginning of April, May, June and then they come back again for October and November.  The Almaguin Area covering Sprucedale, Seguin Trail, Burks Falls, Kearney and Emsdale seems to be the hub for all of the ATV action. 
Getting out on the trails is fun for couples, families and friends to spend a full day relaxing and winding down from your busy stressful work week.  Watching the wild life, having a picnic, experiencing easy or difficult trails for all types of riders.
I like to go out with my kids along the Seguin Trails to experience riding while my husband tends to go on muddy trails with his friends and my son.  I just know that I find it very relaxing and the kids have a blast.
